If you’re planning a trip to the UAE, there’s an important update for all visitors. Authorities now require applicants to submit the outer cover page of their passport when applying for a UAE entry permit.
According to representatives at Amer centers, this requirement has been in effect since last week. “We’ve received notifications from travel agencies, and we are now uploading the external passport cover page along with our applications,” said one representative.
If you’re planning to apply for a UAE entry permit, make sure to prepare all required documents, including the passport cover page, to avoid delays.

What You Need to Submit
Effective immediately, the following documents are mandatory for all UAE entry permit applications:- Passport copy
- Clear passport-size photo
- Hotel booking confirmation
- Round-trip ticket copy
- Passport external cover page
Why the Change?
While the authorities haven’t officially explained the reason for this update, travel experts suggest it will help reduce confusion. Some applicants inadvertently provide the wrong nationality, and certain passports have the nationality printed in very small letters. By including the cover page, authorities can quickly and accurately verify the applicant’s nationality, streamlining the entry permit process. If you’re planning to apply for a UAE entry permit, make sure to prepare all required documents, including the passport cover page, to avoid delays.
